Innovative Partnerships Driving Rural Progress
Her Worship, Mayor Councillor Nontombizanele Koni will be visiting the house of the elderly woman at Indwe. This visit is a partnership programme between Emalahleni Local Municipality and Karen Gantsho Foundation. As part of delivering on the commitments made during the Nelson Mandela Day. Renovations were done to the interior of the existing structure. Furniture and other items will be handed over to the family.
This was a once-off social responsibility contribution by the Karen Gantsho Foundation in partnership with the Emalahleni Municipality towards the Nelson Mandela Day Commemoration events.
The key elements of the core mandate of the Foundation are:
- Water (solar infrastructure)
- Education (early childhood development).
On Water, we ASSIST with equipping existing government dug boreholes with solar panels and pumps.
On Education, we ASSIST with building Early Childhood Development Centres.
